I love to nurture expectant mothers and take care of
puppies. I would keep all of the puppies, but of course I know that
would be impossible.
Our
puppies are reasonably priced. We are not selling puppies to get
rich, we just need enough to cover our expenses.
We
raise happy, healthy, loved Yorkshire Terriers. We
pride ourselves in the care and work we put into our dogs and
puppies. Pups are born in our home where they are looked after day
and night.
Our babies are loved from the moment they
arrive until they go to their new homes. They are
up to date on shots and have been dewormed. Our
puppies are bred for conformation, temperament, and quality. They come
with a written health guarantee. Most of our adult dogs are
registered AKC, and CKC. Some of the litters are registered
AKC and some are registered CKC. When full grown, the sizes range from two to
four pounds.
Because we only have as many dogs as two people can handle, it is only
reasonable that we do not always have puppies available in every breed
we raise.
I have been raising puppies for
my family for 30 years and I've been selling them to the public for 7
years. Skylar, my six-year old
granddaughter, and I treat all of our puppies as though they were human
babies. Skylar suffers from a severe puppy addiction. She can't
stand not to have one in her arms, she carries the newborns around in
her shirt. Of course, I can't say anything about it because I have the
expectant mothers in the bed with me. When it is their due date, I sit
up with them at night and don't hesitate to call the veterinarian if I
think they are having a hard time. I can't stand to see one of my girls
suffer. After the babies get about five weeks old the mother gets
back in the bed with me and only gets down to feed her babies when they
cry so loud that we can't sleep. She feeds them and then comes
back to our bed. I have mama and baby pens close to my bed.
I only pen them when I leave home and it is to protect the babies from
the other mothers and to keep from having to look all over the house for
a four ounce puppy.
